EasySpin expiration

Post by annas »

I'm using EasySpin version 5.2.30. Lately, the following message started to appear:

This EasySpin version will expire in 21 days

(as of today). Does this mean that I will be unable to use this particular version?

I can't recall if there is a specific workaround, but you should probably upgrade to the newest version and that will no longer be a problem. Typically, in the 5.2.x versions, updates fix major bugs and problems and don't change input nor behavior.

The latest and greatest is obviously the development version it includes many changes, fixes and improvements. The problem is that the updates can sometimes lead to drastic changes in the input or output behavior so old scripts would need updating.

I've been conducting my research in v5.2.30 for some time, and I don't want the change of version to affect the research. So, which version can I update to safely?

You should update to the latest 5.2.x. It does not contain any new features compared to 5.2.30, only bug fixes.
