FSE simulation

Hi,

I would like to know if it's possible to simulate FSE spectra - with the ultimate aim of simultaneous simulation and fitting of a cw-EPR spectrum and FSE of a nitroxide radical (though this a problem to tackle later). I've searched through the documentation pages and saffron allows single field points with a frequency sweep but I can't seem to find anything about field swept echoes. I apologise if it is in the documentation and I've not realised! I'm quite new to pulsed EPR so perhaps I've not recognised the technical terms. Any help would be much appreciated.

If by FSE you mean field-swept echo-detected spetrum, then unfortunately there is no general dedicated function for this.

However, if you don't see any nuclear modulations, and the relaxation times are roughly constant across your lineshape, then you can use pepper with Exp.Harmonic=0. Otherwise, run saffron for each field point as you have mentioned.

Yeah, that's what I meant. It did have nuclear modulation, so I'll try out the saffron function as you've suggested. Thanks for your help!

An alternative is to use FID detection with a long soft pulse in your experiment. That should not be affected by nuclear modulations.
