the spectra I want to simulate is changed in the screen

Post by htuner »

Hi,
I wish you a peaceful and joyful holiday season.
I am trying to simulate the following spectrum

Ekran görüntüsü 2024-12-22 160825.png (17.61 KiB) Viewed 2094 times

However, when I run the code the simulation screen looks like this;

The magnetic fields(G) and the Intesities are as follows;

I tried to save the text data to the DSC file, but the spectra look like the ones on the simulation screen.
What is the problem here? Why did Easyspin not use my data, and did easyspin generate its own, especially the magnetic field?

Thank you.

Re: the spectra I want to simulate is changed in the screen

Post by Stefan Stoll »

The reason is that your magnetic field axis is not linear, and even not monotonic. If you load your two-column data into a MATLAB variable data and then plot(data(:,1),data(:,2), you will get the correct spectrum, but plot(data(:,2) (which assumes a linear axis) will give what you see in esfit.

You can see the non-monotonicity of the field in the second peak of your first plot - when the spectral intensity drops, it actually goes backwards in field, so that there are field values where there are several spectral values.
