Frequency sweeps in CPW resonator

Post by thanasis »

Hi,

I would like to simulate frequency-swept spectra collected in coplanar-waveguide-type resonators using field modulation. I can get the derivative spectra using Exp.Harmonic = 1, but Exp.ModAmp does not work for frequency-swept spectra.

Would it be possible to include this feature in a future version?

Thanks in advance

That's something that could be implemented in the future. The main issue is that ModAmp is ambiguous for a frequency sweep - it could either mean field modulation or frequency modulation.

As a workaround, you can simulate a field-swept modulated spectrum of a single lineshape with the appropriate modulation amplitude, then convert the field axis to a frequency axis, and finally convolve the frequency-swept spectrum of your system with this one-line modulation spectrum.
