gStrain orientation

Post by thanasis »

I have a quick question regarding the simultaneous use of gStrain and gFrame.

When we use gFrame to define the g-tensor orientation, does the gStrain follow along, or does it stay with the lab frame? I suppose it should, but I didn't want to make any assumptions.

Thanks!

Note: I suppose the same question could be asked of all other pairs of anisotropic broadening models and tensor orientations.

gFrame is taken into account for gStrain, i.e. the g and the gStrain matrix are always collinear.
